Climbing Trees

Photographs: Ian Hobbs, Simon Hewson

As an artist Angus is interested in the way we behave and the way we interact with people and the world around us. ‘Climbing Trees’ explores how these interactions extend beyond encounters with other individuals and starts to consider our engagement with space in a social environment. The ceramic works and paintings delve into the way we navigate, interpret and remember places both familiar and unfamiliar. His interest lies in our initial acquisition of information and then our response once we progress deeper than a sensory experience.
